Flax is sown from March 15 to April 15 and grows in 100 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six weeks after sowing, the plant reaches a height of 10-15 cm, rising to 70-80 cm after two weeks. This elongation corresponds to the filling of the fibrous cells. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flowering (around June 15) lasts about a week. That’s when this magnificent blue color comes into play. The color is ephemeral, disappearing a week later… The fibers will then reach their maximum length, and the seeds will form in the capsules over the next 15 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When harvested, the entire plant (including the root) is removed. Flax is an excellent starter crop for the cereals that follow.
